An impressive cricketer from Bebington High Sports College has been selected to represent the England Physical Disability Cricket team at the ICC Global Cricket Academy in Dubai this week.
Seventeen year old Daniel Hamm will jet off to Dubai on the 6th February for sixteen days with the 15 player national squad as they compete in two Twenty 20 matches and three one-day matches against Pakistan.
Daniel who plays for the Cheshire Physical Disability Team has been playing for the England squad since December 2010 and is really looking forward to their first ever international cricket tour. He hopes that this may encourage other disabled youngsters to now show an interest in the sport of cricket and is thrilled to represent his country in an opportunity of a lifetime.
The cricket series between the two teams of physically disabled players is recognised and endorsed by each the governing bodies of cricket in their countries.
ECB National Disability Cricket Manager Ian Martin is looking forward to seeing Physical Disabilities cricket played on the international stage and for their players to complete at the highest level.
