As part of the enrichment activities organised for the ‘A’ level students at Bebington High Sports College a group of year 12 & year 13 students taking qualification in health and social care visited Claire house to learn about the services in the local area.
The students learnt about the history of the hospice and were impressed by the facilities provided not only for the children but also for their families and amazed by the happy relaxed atmosphere created by the care staff and by how magnificent the level of care was.
The Students had a fantastic day at Claire House and found out about all about the children who use the hospice. Since visiting Claire House, students have made enquiries about becoming involved in voluntary work at the hospice and have begun to think of possible opportunities and fundraising activities they could be part of. They were surprised by how many different ways the volunteers and supporters of Claire House helped raise funds and are eager to support this.
Claire House also gave credit to the maturity & interest shown by the students of Bebington High Sports College and will be updating details of this on their website shortly.
