Latin music for Capital of Culture

To celebrate Capital of Culture 2008, Year 9 students of Bebington High Sports College have had an experience of a lifetime, sampling the rhythms of Latin American music and exploring Latin American culture.

They visited Liverpool recently to attend La Linea - The London Latin musical festival, which took place recently over two days at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

The festival was aimed to motivate students towards cultural awareness, experience the big theatre surroundings and most importantly to celebrate Liverpool’s Capital of Culture 2008.

During the experience the students were made aware of how different people around the world live and dress. The amazing performances also kept the students totally captivated.

The students were grateful too for the “free” chocolates & drinks offered to them in Phil’s café which went down very well, while they recalled the marvellous events of the day.
