Bebington Boys 'Vault' to the Top

The Wirral Secondary Schools Gymnastics Floor & Vault Competition was recently held on Wednesday 24th March at Bebington High Sports College. Students from schools across the Wirral took part competing against each other. Everyone was impressed by the way the competition was organised, with medals being given to some amazing gymnasts.

Bebington High Sports College had two boys competing in this year’s competition, Sam Burke and Kurtis Solheim. Both Year 8 students showed how much they had improved and how strong their performance was by taking 1st and 2nd place in both the Floor and Vault competitions.

The students who have been regularly training twice a week at the school, during Breakfast Club with their Bebington High Sports Colleges Community Gym Coach, Sue Flanagan, deservedly became the overall winners of the competition.

Sam claimed 1st Gold medal and Kurtis gained the Silver medal against Caldy Grammar and Hilbre High School. The students were a true credit to the school.
