Once again Bebington High School's GCSE results have improved. Last year, the result for student progress, was the most improved on The Wirral. This year, the number of students achieving grade 5+ in English and Maths combined (equivalent to grade C/B) has increased by 5%. In English, results have increased on last year's by 3% and in Maths by 6%.
Exceptional outcomes were achieved by Thuwarakash Prased, who achieved 4 grade 9s (grade 9 is equivalent to A** and reserved for the top 2% in the country). Hannah Wylde achieved a grade 8, 5 grade 7s, 2 grade 6s and a Distinction * for Health and Social Care. Beth Ironmonger's results were outstanding and both Ben Addy and Jessica Fletcher achieved grade 9 results too. Special congratulations go to these students.
Catherine Kelly, the school's Head Teacher said, "we are delighted with the results our students have achieved and I want to thank all those who took advantage of the staff's dedication, especially to after school intervention classes, which staff undertake above and beyond their contracted and paid time. Our students are fortunate to have such caring and professional teachers and support staff."
