National Kate

Kate Thompson a year 9 student at Bebington High Sports College is certainly aiming to be a ‘National Winner’.

Kate has been invited to attend the 2008 Water Polo Training Academy at Millfield this August.

Kate trains at Birkenhead Water Polo Club under the watchful eye of her coach Alan Murray and due to her sheer hard work and commitment to her training schedules, Kate is now playing Water Polo at National Level and competing throughout England at a very high standard.

The Academy seeks to identify and develop the countries best young water polo players and prepare them for the high training required at National Team level, so Millfield Training Academy will be part of Kate’s ongoing development in this sport and the next step from a possible selection on the Great Britain Junior Water Polo Team and with this the chance to train with leading European water polo teams in their home countries.

Bebington High Sports College is an extremely proud of this exceptionally committed athlete, and as Kate strives to improve even more, she is certainly a name to look out for in the future.
