INFORMATION

The Headteacher and Governors of this successful and popular 11-18 co-educational, all-ability school are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join a vibrant and forward-looking Science department. The successful candidate will teach across the whole ability range. The appointed person will be joining a school in which it is rewarding to work, surrounded by a team of committed and highly motivated teachers.

We would expect the candidate to:

  • Motivate students to aspire
  • Have the skills to become an excellent practitioner in teaching and learning.
  • Be able to teach across disciplines at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Be able to teach Physics to GCSE A*

This post would be equally suitable for an NQT (As a school we have significant experience of successfully taking newly qualified staff through the NQT programme.) or a teacher looking to develop their skills in their first five years of teaching (We have a record of enhancing the skills of potential future leaders.)

Our teaching structure can accommodate a good science teacher no matter which discipline you have specialised in at Key Stage 5. However, we would be especially interested in an ability to teach Physics to Key Stage 5.

The successful candidate should have excellent relationships with staff and students and a sense of humour.
